One Direction Win A BRIT Award After Fans Vote In Their Thousands

Thanks to you, One Direction won a BRIT Award last night!

The boys were nominated for two awards at the ceremony, hosted at London’s O2 Arena, and took home one of them.
For the third consecutive year, they were nominated for “British Group”, an award they still haven’t won. This year, the title instead went to rock duo Royal Blood.
However, the boys were up for the fan-voted “British Video” award, with the video for “You & I” making the shortlist.
Thanks to Twitter votes from Directioners, 1D’s “You & I” was announced as the best video, over fellow nominees “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith, and “Summer” by Calvin Harris.
Unfortunately, the boys weren’t there to collect their award, meaning there were no “Oops, Harry’s in the toilet” moments. However, they did send a video message to thank fans.
In the clip, Liam says: “Hi everybody, we just want to say a massive thank you for voting for us at the BRITs.”
Of course, the boys couldn’t be there, because they’re currently taking their “On The Road Again” tour to Japan!

Directioners Upset As Zayn And Louis Forget Words To “Stockholm Syndrome”

Zayn and Louis had a slight hiccup on stage earlier this week.

During their performance of “Stockholm Syndrome” in Japan on Wednesday, fans have pointed out that Zayn and Louis seemed to forget some of the lyrics.

The boys are now into the second leg of their “On The Road Again Tour”, having played seven dates in Australia earlier in the month.
However, they didn’t sing “Stockholm Syndrome” in any of their other shows, and chose to debut it at their second show in Japan on Wednesday.
And after what happened, it looks like they might not sing it again!
Fans have posted videos on YouTube of the performance, where it can be heard that Zayn didn’t get off to a very good start, forgetting most of the words on his first verse and seemingly humming along. Harry did a great job of pulling it together, but then Louis forgot his words, too!
Check out the video below:
Fans are not happy about the boys forgetting their lyrics, and some even accused them of not rehearsing enough.
Personally, we think we should all cut the boys a bit of slack and let them off with this one – we know that they DO work so hard rehearsing, and how many times has this happened? Not many!
Check out some of the tweets from fans about the mishap:

What do you guys think?

Zayn Malik To Launch A Rap Career After One Direction

The One Direction boys have been planning their future.

Of course, we’d like to think that their future is 100% in One Direction, but the harsh reality is that boybands just don’t last that long.
There always comes a day when boybands decide that their time is up, and go their separate ways. *sobs*
So, the boys have been planning ahead, and decided what they want to do with their lives once One Direction is no longer around.
Apparently, the Zaynster is hoping to stick to music but to enter a completely different genre than what he’s used to with 1D.
A source told “Zayn wants to go into rap and has been working Naughty Boy.”
We don’t like to believe everything that unknown sources say, so we don’t know how true that is. However, what we do know is that Zayn and Naughty Boy have a very close relationship, and have previously worked on a track together, “One Chance to Dance”, which didn’t quite make it on to One Direction’s “FOUR” album.
It’s not only Zayn that’s been looking ahead, as Niall and Liam have been in talks about their futures, too.
HollywoodLife’s source continued: “The lads are already making plans after One Direction. Liam and Niall are hoping to work together on new projects.”
What kind of ‘projects’ they will be, we don’t know.
We’ve heard many times that Harry wants to launch his own solo career, so who knows if that will take off. That just leaves Louis. What will Louis do after One Direction?

Let’s just hope he doesn’t have to make that decision anytime soon…
