ONE DIRECTION COULD BE IN A BIT OF TROUBLE WITH TITLE TRACK OF ALBUM ‘MIDNIGHT MEMORIES’

Uh oh!!!

The boys might have landed themselves in a bit of trouble.
Rock band Def Leppard have brought in their lawyers to see if One Direction’s ‘Midnight Memories’ is too similar to their 1987 hit ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’.
They do sound incredibly similar and Def Leppard aren’t on the credits but we will have to wait a while to see if the boys actually get into any trouble for it.
A source close to Def Leppard said: “Music lawyers will routinely scour hits like this one to see if there is any evidence that a band has either copied or cleverly mimicked a Def Leppard song.
“These cases can often take weeks to sort out because we are not talking about peanuts here – the 1D album is selling millions and if the title track goes out as a single it will generate even more money.
“Everyone is staying silent at this stage but it’s clear the two songs sound alike – which has been enough for Def Leppard’s aides to pose questions to their legal team.”
Critics across the world pointed out the similarities when the album was first released so it’s no surprise that they have brought their lawyers in.
But some also said that ‘Best Song Ever’ sounded like The Who song Baba O’Riley and nothing was done with that.

We do hope that the boys don’t get into any trouble for it.
